OSHA Plant Audits
“ ...the best defense is a good offense, and the OSHA audit will put you on the offensive when dealing with OSHA. ”
One useful tool for gauging your facilitys regulatory compliance is the OSHA audit. We start with a review and evaluation of your past five years of OSHA 300 logs and injury reports to check compliance issues with your injury and illness reporting and also to see where your key safety issues lie. Next we move to your written programs at present there are about 14 OSHA-required written programs that may apply to your operations. We look to see that they are site specific, current with the regulations and implemented. What we mean by implemented is this: are the signage, PPE and other equipment visible, are the employees aware that they have been trained for these programs and are training records available. A walk-through for other OSHA Top 25 violations follows this and we wrap it up with an out-briefing recommending further action. We can handle any written reports with your legal counsel under client privilege provisions to best protect your interests. As with any regulatory compliance, the best defense is a good offense, and the OSHA audit will put you on the offensive when dealing with OSHA.
