Hazardous Waste Management

We specialize in collecting, cataloguing, testing and classifying unlabelled or abandoned waste containers for disposal. Once the unknowns become knowns we manage and coordinate your manifesting, hauling, disposal and recordkeeping efforts.

Classification is the key element for cost control with this work. The way in which a waste is generated, or its source, can determine which regulation has jurisdiction, the labeling requirements, the disposal options and thus ultimately the cost of disposal. As an example: lead-based paint on building materials with extractable lead over the EPA TCLP limit is still taken as normal construction and demolition debris, but if it is in abandoned process vats or equipment it is EPA D008 hazardous waste.

Knowing what to analyze in these assorted unknowns so that they can be sorted into the least costly groupings is very important. It saves in analytical costs while putting as much material into low hazard, or even non-hazardous, categories as possible for disposal at lower cost.

We maintain our Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) designation for you, to provide the expertise you need to manage the materials you don’t at a cost you can live with.
